OK, a brief explanation of this gong show is in order. First we plan to ride our bikes south to store them for the winter. We will leave them in Valdosta Georgia, at a good friend of Tony's, watch Monday night footall, then fly home. January 15th, 2010, we will fly back down to Valdosta, and ride to Laredo Texas, change tires and oil (maybe socks too), and head south through Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and finally Panama (cue Van Halen here). At that point, we will decide if we want to forget our normal lives, and continue south and ride our bikes for ever and ever, or look at the Darien Gap and yell "cocaine is for losers!" and then run away. One the way home, we will (time permitting) ride the south coast of Mexico, up to Baja, cross in to Yuma Arizona, ride whereever weather permits, a nd make our way home. By the first week of March, we plan to start riding as far north as we can get, and then stor the bike, fly home and get back to work. Speaking of work, I resigned from my job today. Never done that before. It was weird. I will miss those guys. Narrow minded corporate strikes again. Who the hell am I gonna share all my picures of Central American Culverts with? Jeez.
Once the snow clears, we will try real hard to remember where we left the bike, and go get'em and ride'em home.
